Vaulto is committed to protect and respect user’s privacy.
Vaulto Products encrypt and secure phone calls and text messages for the privacy and security of mobile communications. When Vaulto provides the Infrastructure and Management services, we use certain personal information for setting up, maintaining and monitoring operation of the Vaulto Products. By using the Site and/or Vaulto Products, user agrees to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection and Use
While using our Products, Apps and Site, we may ask user to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify user. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to user’s name, phone no. email address, billing information, phone calls, etc. Some of the information is requested by the Vaulto Products while installing and configuring these products. Other information may be created by the Vaulto Products when placing/receiving calls or sending/receiving text messages. Configuration information may be provided by user or it may be provided in batches by user’s system administrators pre-configuring the Vaulto Products. If the Services are operated by a third party (“Service Provider”), Vaulto does not collect personal information other than what is required for purposes of monitoring and maintenance of the Products and their operation, unless the customer purchasing the Vaulto Products specifically requests that Vaulto does not provide the monitoring and maintenance services. Whereas Vaulto serves as the service provider of the Services, then the information collected or maintained by Vaulto (the “Collected Information”) is destroyed by Vaulto after a maximum of 90 days. Collected Information includes:
End user’s organization/company
End user’s full name
End user’s account access information, such as the username and password and any other applicable passphrases
End user’s phone number
End user’s device type and/or identifiers
Logging information with the dates, times, duration, organization, names, and phone numbers of other users with whom you communicate via the Vaulto Applications.
Aggregated statistics generated from the above logging information that provides overall metrics for Service use (“Aggregated Information”). Aggregate Information may be available to Vaulto in cases where it serves as the service provider and in cases that it is merely the Seller of the Vaulto Products, unless the customer purchasing the Vaulto Products specifically requests that Vaulto does not retain such information.
In addition, we may collect other personal information from users when communicating with them as part of a technical support call, chat or email conversation. All such information will be requested verbally over the phone or in the email conversation/chat.
In connection with the use of Vaulto Products and Services and communicating with Vaulto, we may also process and retain the following data:
1. Information that user voluntarily provide by completing forms on the site, including but not necessarily limited to site registration, subscription to our service, posted material, requests for further services or the reporting of a problem with the site.
2. Records of our correspondence or interaction(s) with user.
3. User’s responses to our research surveys, questionnaires or other interrogatories (which user is not compelled to respond to).
4. Transactional information related to the placing and/or fulfillment of user’s orders, including but not limited to telephone numbers and other details regarding the devices on which user install our software.
5. Details of user’s visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web-logs, communication data and resources that user access.
6. Data and metadata related to or associated with the Services.
Information We DO NOT Collect
The Vaulto Applications and Service do not store or retain the actual content of any voice/video communications from calls and messaging. The Services do provide for store and forward-based messaging. These messages are retained until delivered to the intended recipient or until they expire. Vaulto Service destroys all personally identifiable metadata obtained from your voice/video call and messaging transactions after a maximum of 90 days.
How We Use the Data We Collect
We use information collected about customers in the following ways:
1. Ensuring that content from our Site/App is presented in the most effective manner.
2. Providing information, products or services that are requested from us or which may interest our customers, where they have consented to being contacted for such purposes.
3. Carrying out our contractual and legal obligations.
4. Allowing participation in interactive features of our Site, App and/or Services.
5. Notifying our customers of changes to our Products and Services.
Information Collected through Use of Vaulto Products
We only use email addresses for setup and support purposes. We do not share collected information with any outside parties except as provided in this section. All of this information is used strictly for technical support purposes.
Vaulto Service is provided to contracting organizations/companies as a paid service. Vaulto may, on request, provide collected information to the contracting organization/company. We recommend user contact its Service Provider for information on how they use collected information and how long they retain it.
Information Collected on Vaulto Website
Vaulto may utilize software for tracking visitor behavior and engagement across its Website, as well as collecting information using online forms. Please note that if user submits a request via our website, we may collect any personally identifying information user volunteers in addition to the standard browsing-related information.
Our Commitment to Data Security & Keeping Data Confidential
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have defined appropriate electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the collected information as part of the Vaulto Products.
The security of user’s personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect user’s personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Thus, the transmission of information is at user’s own risk, but upon our receipt thereof we apply strict security features and procedures intended to guard against unauthorized access.
We may disclose user’s personal information to third parties in the following limited circumstances:
In the event that we engage in discussions relating to the supply of products or services required for the provision of our service to our customers, for example: personal billing information and registered contact information will be disclosed in the event of the appointment of an authorized payment service provider, or in regard to the possible purchase or sale of a business or business assets, and such discussions require statistical information about licensed users;
If all or substantially all of our assets or the assets of any member of our group are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets;
If we are obligated to disclose or share user’s personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, including any obligation to disclose personal data to a regulatory body or law enforcement agency in circumstances where a legitimate court order has been obtained from a court of competent jurisdiction (keeping in mind that we are technically unable to disclose in decrypted form any conversation or message communicated using our products once it has been completed and/or delivered to its destination), or in order to enforce or apply the terms of the relevant license agreement and/or other agreements;
If disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of, inter alia, our business, our employees, or our customers, we may disclose for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction, as well as the prevention of hostile acts;
In the event that the Vaulto Products utilize a 3rd party provider for call or text message termination/origination, the caller ID and/or dialed number are passed to the provider in order to facilitate the call.
With our Store and Forward function, messages are sent via our secure servers. If user sends a message to another user and that user is offline and/or a message is originated outside of Vaulto service and the recipient user is offline, that message will be stored in encoded form on our secure servers for seven days. All messages that are not retrieved within seven days of transmission may be purged without any prior notice.
Third Party Services
We will not be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for the consequences of user’s decision to access or submit information to third parties for any related services.
